Free service, provided “as is”

write.cv is provided free of charge and “as is”, without warranties of any kind. We do our best to keep it working well, but we can’t guarantee it will be error-free or available at all times.

Your content is your responsibility

You are responsible for the information you put in your CV. You agree not to use write.cv for unlawful purposes.

No guarantee of outcomes

The ATS score and suggestions are guidance to help you improve your CV. They do not guarantee that your resume will pass any specific employer’s system or result in an interview or job.

Accounts

Signing in with Google is optional. You are responsible for what happens under your account. You can delete your account at any time from the account menu, which permanently removes your account, saved CV, username and public page.

We may suspend or delete accounts that break these terms.

Public CVs and usernames

Only publish your own CV, with information that is true and that you have the right to share. Do not use a public page for spam or advertising, to pretend to be someone else, to post offensive or harmful content, or to share another person's private information.

Only upload images you have the right to use, and only add links, music and videos that follow these rules.

Usernames are first come, first served and can't be changed once claimed. We may remove any public page, or take back a username that is misleading, impersonates someone, or infringes someone else's rights — including after a report — at our discretion.

Your data and backups

Without an account, your CV is stored locally in your browser. With an account, it is also saved to our servers. Either way, we are not responsible for any loss of data — please use the “Save backup” option to keep your own copy.

Service statistics

write.cv may display anonymous, aggregate usage statistics — such as how many CVs have been created, or visitor ratings. These numbers are approximate, refresh periodically, and are provided for information only.

Analytics and session replay

If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, we use analytics tools — including PostHog product analytics and session replay — to see how the site is used and improve it. Your CV's content is masked and never recorded. The details are in our Privacy Policy, and you can withdraw your consent at any time in “Cookie settings”.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, write.cv and its author are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of write.cv means you accept the current version.
